PETA is having a field day with this one


There's a show at an art gallery here in LA that is causing quite a stir. The reason is this...part of the exhibit is Tai, a live Indian elephant. The artist has painted Tai completely from trunk to tail. She is part of a living room art set, and is painted to blend in with the walls. I must admit this is clever...she is supposed to serve as a physical embodiment of the phrase "the elephant in the room." Cleverness notwithstanding though, I think it may be going a bit too far.
